ELECTIVE SESSION 1
Australia's future direction and emerging trends
The market-leading researchers at McCrindle will present on emerging trends in our society and the marketplace and how we as Christians leaders can learn from these as we engage in these spaces.
Politics and faith, how should they align?
Matt Darvas and Micah Australia, will host a panel of MP's, former MP's and political staff including mentors Mike Baird, Senator Amanda Stoker, John Anderson, Michael Choi & Ruth Limkin
. It will provide an open conversation, crossing partisan allegiances, on the the role of faith in politics.
The business of justice
Steven Meredith and the William Wilberforce Foundation will host a panel including mentors Sono Leone, Toby Hall, Debra Stirling, Fiona Pearse & Wade Hunt (former delegate) which will offer an insight from the perspective of NFP, community and business leaders on the role marketplace leaders can play in advocating and speaking for marginalised and disadvantaged Australians.
Ethics in the workplace
David Wells and Moores will host a panel of mentors include Christopher Thorn, Joanna White, Simon Abdelmalak, Richenda Vermeulen, Markus Koch & Jason Smith. It will explore ethics in the workplace and how Christian leaders in the marketplace approach and handle ethical issues they face.
ELECTIVE SESSION 2
Building wealth for God's Kingdom, Is this an oxymoron?
Suzy George will host a panel, including mentors
Simon Abdelmalak, Christopher Thorn, Michael Choi, Dave Hodgson & Joanna White, looking at the juxtaposition of building wealth for the Kingdom of God. The session will explore whether some Christian leaders are called to make money and what role there is for those who may feel this is their calling.
Clarify your message, reach your audience
Alex Lau and Seesharp will present on communication, clarity of messaging and cutting through to audiences in a culture that is cluttered with messaging. The session will look at how we as Christian leaders can learn to engage others in the marketplace and in our communities with messages of hope.
Navigating significant transitions in your career
Scott Walters and the Bible Society will host a panel, including mentors
James Holbeck, Richenda Vermeulen, Ruth Limkin and guests
Steve Meredith (former Senior Banker & current NFP staff and board member) & Shane Hatton (former Pastor & current leadership author and thought leader). It will explore how Christian marketplace leaders can wisely navigate significant transitions in their career whether they are forced changes or a change in seasons.
Why boards are important and are boards part of my future?
Fiona Pearse will present on the importance of boards and will host a panel, including mentors
David Wells, Jason Smith, Debra Stirling, Markus Koch & Toby Hall, exploring the role of board members, how to join a board and lessons learned from the boardroom.
Please rank your choice of elective from 1 - 4 for each of the two sessions. We will do our best to accomodate your preferences but they are not guaranteed and will be on a first in best dressed basis.
